so far so good...

I started in radio as a child's game, I believe in the late 70s. It was a pair of walkie-talks that worked in the CB band that we placed on bicycles with a copper wire measuring almost 1 and a half meters long as an antenna, like the antennas on the motorcycles in the series CHiPs.

One day, we were stopped by a man who was in a car with an antenna and a CB radio, and asked us not to use the CW Key due to the interference it caused on the CB channels. He showed us the CB and communications with other colleagues in different locations in the city of Rio Bonito - RJ.

After that, my friend Luis won a CB radio - Pace Sidetalk 1000M - 23 SSB channels. Our life was summed up between school and radio. The whole world could fit on a 23-channel SSB CB radio.

The 70s ended and I moved to Rio de Janeiro. Between growing up, studying, playing and rebelling against the world, we managed to survive the 80s.

In 1992 I got my amateur radio license in Portugal - CT1FBV - and another world of adventures were very well experienced. The APRS ends this journey.

That's all for today... I'll update little by little.
